Roger Stradley

CSM (R) Roger J. Stradley is a native of Helena, Montana; He entered active duty in November 1974 and attended Basic Combat Training at Ft Leonard Wood, Missouri. He served in the United States Army for 26 years before his retirement in June 2000. His passion is supporting our troops and their families led him to establish USA Cares, a non-profit agency giving military families “a hand up, not a hand out.” As Founder and Operations Director this organization has raised almost $10 million dollars and responded to over 22,000 military families seeking assistance across the nation. This includes a new initiative where USA Cares has entered into written agreements with the Veterans Administration and is a recommended resource for those seeking treatment for Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) and can’t afford to support their families while receiving resident treatment. Currently the organization is now assisting soldiers in 28 different states.

Kim Gates

 Kim Gates is a Relationship Manager for Military OneSource (MOS).  She is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the day-to-day maintenance of program delivery with emphasis on outreach, awareness, utilization, and innovation for the Pacific Region, as well as the U.S. Marine Corps.  Kim came to Military OneSource following her position with Headquarters U.S. Marine Corps (HQMC) where she served as the Head, Marine Corps Family Team Building, focusing on unit and family readiness programs.  Prior to that she spent 10 years working in family support programs.  Kim holds a degree in Management from Park University, has two children, Hayley (18) and Ryan (15) and resides in Southern California.

Sarah Williams Volf

Sarah Williams Volf is a native of Wales and joined Challenge Aspen in 2001. After serving as the Director of Programs for a number of years, Sarah now spearheads the newest division of Challenge Aspen - the C.A.M.O. (Challenge Aspen Military Opportunities) program. The mission of C.A.M.O. is to raise awareness and educate, honor and empower injured service members and their families through quality recreational and educational experiences.  Sarah is passionate about this mission and feels privileged to serve this population.

Qubad Talabani

As Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq to the US, Mr Talabani works closely with the US Government, the media, and research institutions providing critical analysis and up-to-date information on Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

Mr Talabani's family has been involved in Kurdish politics for decades.  His father, Jalal Talabani, is the President of the Republic of Iraq and Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

Terri Brumit

Terri Brumit is a native of Marietta, GA and the wife of over 30 years to a retired Special Operations Soldier who is still working for the Department of Defense overseas. Terri is also the mother of twin warriors who are presently serving in Special Operations. She writes, arranges and performs all of her own music, which she refers to as 'hero music' and has just released her latest album “Warriors in the Night.” You can learn more about Terri at www.terribrumit.com
